1 bearing quality

The difference of bearing quality is mainly reflected in the raw materials used in the bearing, bearing design, bearing production technology, machining accuracy, quality control level and so on. To distinguish the quality of bearings, we need to accumulate and compare a large amount of data for a long time according to the use situation. Bearings with good quality can have longer service life and higher service accuracy under the same installation and service conditions. Bearings with poor quality are prone to early failure or low accuracy, which will affect the quality of rolled products.

2 installation method

Correct installation is the premise that the bearing can be used to the design life. For the installation of bearings, it is necessary to follow the standard installation method and strictly follow the requirements, equipped with reasonably designed assembly trolley, turnover table and special heater. Before installation, confirm that there are no burrs and foreign matters everywhere to ensure that the bearing and bearing housing are clean. After installation, confirm that the bearing position relationship is correct, the rotation is flexible, the clearance and bearing clearance meet the requirements, the lubricating oil circuit is smooth, the lubricating oil (grease) is sufficient and the seal is good.

3 operating conditions

Good bearing service conditions mainly include lubrication, speed, load, vibration and so on. The most important thing is to ensure lubrication. Good lubrication can avoid burning the bearing, avoid early peeling of the working surface of the bearing, and greatly prolong the service life of the bearing. Poor lubrication will aggravate the fatigue failure of the bearing. At present, the common lubrication methods of rolling mill bearings are oil-gas lubrication and grease lubrication. The long-term aging and wear of parts at each mating part of the rolling mill and the excessive mating clearance will cause bearing vibration and excessive eccentric load. The vibration of the bearing will also damage the lubricating oil film of the bearing. Thus reducing the service life of the bearing. On the contrary, it will prolong the service life of the bearing, reduce the accident rate and save the bearing. Therefore, good lubrication, maintenance of old equipment, replacement of worn parts and improvement of areas with unreasonable cooperation are needed.
