PILLOW BLOCK BEARINGS-SPHERICAL BEARINGS WITH SEATS
Pillow Block Bearings-Spherical Bearings With Seats
What's Spherical Bearings With Seats
It is a kind of mechanical component that combines bearings and mounting seats. Most rolling bearings are made by making the outer diameter of the outer ring of the bearing core into a spherical surface, and are installed together with a bearing seat with a spherical inner hole. The structure is diverse, and the versatility and interchangeability are good. At the same time, this type of bearing is also designed to have a certain degree of self-alignment, easy to install, and has a double-structured sealing device, which can work in harsh environments. The bearing seat is generally cast.
Features of Spherical Bearings with Housings
Our advantage
Automatic centering function
The outer diameter of the bearing and the inner diameter of the bearing are spherically matched, and there is an automatic self-aligning function between the two, which can compensate for the misalignment of the axes and the deformation of the installation bottom surface caused by installation errors.
Large load capacity
As the internal structure of the outer spherical ball bearing is the same as that of the 6200 and 6300 series deep groove ball bearings, it can not only bear radial loads, but also bear certain axial loads. At the same time, the bearing has low working noise.
Sturdy bearing housing
The bearing seat is an integral seat structure with excellent rigidity, which prevents the bearing from deformation during assembly. The bearing seat is durable under any working conditions.
Unique design
The outer ring of the bearing is equipped with a unique stop pin (ball), which allows the bearing to align itself automatically and prevents the outer ring from rotating, thus extending the service life of the bearing.
Long service life
Insert ball bearings with seats are usually used in harsh working environments such as mud, dust, humidity and high temperature. The grease inside the bearing will deteriorate in a short period of time. Therefore, it is necessary to re-lubricate the insert ball bearings with seats at appropriate time intervals and replace the deteriorated grease with fresh grease.Cast iron spherical ball bearings are equipped with grease nipples for relubrication, ensuring perfect performance and long service life in any working environment
The bearing can be easily locked on the shaft
There are four ways to lock the bearing on the shaft. The most common method is to lock the two set screws on the extended end of the inner ring. You can also use a locking sleeve, a locking sleeve or an eccentric sleeve. These four methods can easily lock the bearing on the shaft. (The structure of the top screw is the tooth end type (ST), W end type (SW), concave end type (S) and ball end type (SQ). Some top screw threads are coated with nylon paint to improve their anti-loosening performance.)
Excellent sealing performance
Both sides of the outer spherical ball bearing are equipped with heat-resistant and oil-proof rubber seals and steel plate dust cover combination seals. The dust cover is assembled on the outer diameter of the inner ring of the bearing and rotates with the inner ring. It can effectively prevent external foreign matter from entering the bearing and can resist external pressure to protect the bearing. This combination seal composed of a seal ring and a dust cover can prevent dirt, dust, and moisture from entering the bearing, and at the same time prevent the grease inside the bearing from leaking out. The bearing can maintain perfect working performance even in harsh working environments.
Special heat treatment of the inner ring of the bearing
The inner ring groove and the surrounding parts that need to be hardened are normally quenched, and the inner ring extension end for the set screw is locally tempered at high temperature to maintain toughness and impact resistance. After local high temperature tempering around the inner ring screw hole, the bearing obtains better performance, which can prevent the screw from loosening during the operation of the bearing, and at the same time, the screw will not cause the inner ring to burst even if it is tightened. (After local annealing of the inner ring, it must be ensured that the inner ring groove is not affected and the hardness remains unchanged. After annealing, the hardness around the top screw hole should be below HRC50.

Common seat shapes for spherical bearing seats

The code of the outer spherical bearing with seat
The code of the outer spherical bearing with seat is generally composed of the basic code, the leading code and the trailing code. The basic code includes the structural form code, the size series code and the inner diameter code. The structural form code is composed of the structural form code of the outer spherical bearing and the structural form code of the bearing seat.

Materials of Spherical Bearings with Housings

Materials of Spherical Bearings with Housings
Spherical bearing rings and steel balls materials
The rings and balls of the spherical bearings are repeatedly subjected to high contact stress while maintaining high-precision rotation. Therefore, the main requirements for the materials and performance of the bearing rings, rolling elements and cages are as follows:
High rolling fatigue strength; High hardness
High wear resistance; Good dimensional stability
High mechanical strength
High carbon chromium bearing steel (GCr15 and GCr15SiMn) is the best material for rolling bearings and has a wide range of applications. GCr15SiMn has better hardenability than GCr15. When the effective wall thickness of the ring is greater than 15mm and the diameter of the steel ball is greater than 50mm, GCr15SiMn is recommended.
Spherical bearing seat material
The bearing seat materials are commonly HT200 gray cast iron and 10 steel, and ductile iron and cast steel are also used.
Cage material
The cage of the outer spherical bearing with seat is generally a wave-shaped cage stamped from steel plate, and the products of large foreign companies generally use nylon cages. The characteristics of nylon cages are light weight and small grinding coefficient, so the wear value of the steel ball can be minimized. However, nylon cages are not suitable for bearings in high temperature environments and are more expensive.
Win-win
The quality of bearing steel directly affects the performance and life of the bearing. Bearing steel is required to have few non-metallic inclusions, high purity and uniform microstructure.
Key points for selecting spherical bearings with seats
The correct selection of spherical bearing seats is an important step to maximize the performance of the bearing and achieve the normal operation of the host. The following factors should be considered when selecting a suitable spherical bearing seat model that meets the requirements of the host from a variety of bearings and bearing seats.
The structural requirements of the machine itself for support
Installation space and shaft dimensions
The load on the bearing (size, direction, nature)
Bearing service life and reliability requirements
Working speed (high, low, forward and reverse)
Matching properties and fixing methods of bearings and shafts
Support location, configuration and axial expansion and contraction
The nature of the fit between the bearing and the housing;
Ambient temperature requirements (high and low temperature resistance)
Requirements for surrounding media, dustproof, moisture-proof, waterproof, etc.
The importance of relubrication
Noise and vibration requirements
Strength requirements for bearing seats.
